France and Beyond – People to People Solidarity – Refugee Aid is a non-political, grassroots humanitarian network based in France.
It was started as Facebook group by Kathryn Dobson on September 2, 2015 as a way of linking individuals in south-west France who wanted to help ease the refugee crisis.
The response was overwhelming: within a week the group grew to more than a thousand members, with hundreds of donations coming in, as well as offers of storage space and help with transportation.
The group has now expanded from south-west France to become a France-wide network. Volunteer members pool ideas and resources, using people power to make a difference. You can find out here how you can help.
This website pools our resources, providing all our information in one place. We hope it also reaches out to a wider audience and encourages people living in France who are not on Facebook to become involved. (You can see our News section for regular updates on the refugee situation in France and farther afield).
We would love to hear from you. If you have any questions about France and Beyond – People to People Solidarity – Refugee Aid, or if you would like to get involved, please join our Facebook group, or get in touch via our contact page.
